Terms of Service

Introduction

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the TGM Panel platform, including:

  • The TGM Panels website ("Website")
  • The TGM Panels mobile application ("App")
  • Participation in surveys and research programs ("Services")

By using our Services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our Services.

1. Eligibility

To use our Services, you must:

  • Be 18 years of age or older
  • Meet specific panel requirements (geographic location, etc.)
  • Provide accurate registration information
One account per person: You may only maintain one membership account per panel per unique email address.

2. Registration

When registering, you must:

  • Provide true, correct, and complete information
  • Keep your login credentials confidential
  • Keep your profile information updated
  • Be responsible for all activity under your account

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts with false information.

Identity Verification

To maintain platform integrity, prevent fraud, and ensure fair distribution of rewards, we use a tiered identity verification system:

Verification Method How It Works
Phone verification (SMS) A one-time code is sent to your registered phone number to confirm account ownership
Social account linking You may link a LinkedIn or Facebook account to confirm your identity
Document verification Conducted entirely by a specialised third-party identity verification provider. You submit your document directly to the provider's secure platform. TGM does not receive, view, or store your identity documents

When verification is requested: We apply verification in a graduated manner. Phone and social account verification may be requested at any time as part of routine fraud prevention. Document-based verification is requested only when: (a) your account has been flagged for suspicious activity and lower-tier verification is insufficient; or (b) you voluntarily request verified status to access higher-value survey opportunities.

Voluntary Verified Status

You may choose to undergo document verification to obtain verified status. Verified panel members may receive access to higher-paying surveys and priority invitations. Verification for this purpose requires your explicit consent and is entirely voluntary — declining does not affect your access to standard surveys or existing rewards.

Data Handling
  • TGM receives only the verification result (verified/not verified), confirmed name, country, and age confirmation (18+) from the third-party provider
  • The provider deletes your identity document after verification is complete
  • No identity documents are stored, viewed, or processed by TGM at any stage
Consequences of non-verification:
  • Declining voluntary verification: No penalty. You retain full access to standard surveys and all accumulated rewards
  • Failing to complete fraud-triggered verification upon request: May result in account suspension pending resolution. You may appeal any suspension by contacting privacy@tgmpanel.com

3. Survey Participation

General Conditions

  • Participation is voluntary
  • You may exit a survey at any time
  • You must provide honest and thoughtful responses

Quality Requirements

We may disqualify responses showing:

  • Speeding (completing too quickly)
  • Straightlining (same answer repeatedly)
  • Inconsistent or contradictory responses
  • Bot or automated completion

Third-Party Surveys

Some surveys available through TGM Panel are provided by our marketplace partners (such as Cint, Lucid, and PureSpectrum). When you are matched with a partner survey:

  • We share limited profile data (such as your demographic category, country, and internal panelist ID) with the partner for survey matching purposes. We never share your name, email, or phone number.
  • Once you click through to the partner's survey, the partner acts as an independent data controller and their privacy policy governs the handling of your survey responses.
  • Points for completing partner surveys are credited by TGM under the same terms as our own surveys.

Note

Exiting early, failing eligibility checks, or not completing required questions may result in no points being awarded.

4. Points & Rewards

Earning Points

You earn points by successfully completing surveys. Points are:

  • Not currency and have no cash value
  • Non-transferable
  • Personal to your account
Points expire after 6 months of account inactivity (no login or survey participation).

Expiry Reminders

Before your points expire due to inactivity, we will send at least two email reminders to your registered email address:

  • First reminder: approximately 30 days before expiry
  • Final reminder: approximately 7 days before expiry

It is your responsibility to ensure your email address is current and to check for our communications.

Forfeiture

You forfeit all points if:

  • You breach these Terms
  • Your account is terminated by us for cause
  • Your account is inactive for 6 months (after receiving expiry reminders)

Account Deletion and Points

If you choose to delete your account, any unredeemed points will be forfeited. However, you will have the opportunity to redeem your points before deletion is finalised:

  • When you request deletion, we will remind you of your current points balance
  • You may redeem eligible points before confirming final deletion
  • Deletion is processed after a short grace period to allow redemption

This ensures that exercising your data protection rights does not result in unfair loss of earned rewards.

Taxes

You are responsible for any taxes arising from rewards received.

5. Mobile Application

App License

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App on your personal device.

Requirements

  • Compatible device and operating system
  • Internet connection
  • Acceptance of these Terms and Privacy Policy

Updates

We may release updates that are required to continue using the Service. You are responsible for keeping the App updated.

Push Notifications

The App may send push notifications for survey invitations. You can disable notifications in device settings.

No Employment Relationship

Participation in the Service does not create an employment, agency, partnership, or franchise relationship. Panel Members participate on a voluntary, independent basis.

6. Prohibited Activities

You agree NOT to:

Fraud Speed through surveys, create multiple accounts, submit false information, use VPNs to misrepresent location
Platform Abuse Use bots/automated tools, overload the service, attempt unauthorized access
Security Transmit viruses/malware, reverse engineer the platform
Content Post threatening, defamatory, or illegal content

7. Intellectual Property

All materials on our platform (text, graphics, logos, software) are protected by intellectual property rights owned by or licensed to TGM.

You are NOT granted any license to use, copy, or distribute our content without permission.

8. Termination

By You

You may delete your account at any time through account settings or by contacting us.

By Us

We may suspend or terminate your account if you:

  • Breach these Terms
  • Engage in fraudulent activity
  • Provide false information
  • Are inactive for 12 consecutive months

Human Review

Automated systems may flag accounts for review based on fraud indicators and policy violations. However, no permanent account suspension or termination is executed without human review. A qualified member of our team reviews all flagged accounts before any permanent action is taken.

If your account is permanently suspended or terminated, you have the right to:

  • Receive a notification explaining the reason for the action
  • Appeal the decision within 30 days by contacting privacy@tgmpanel.com
  • Have your appeal reviewed by a different team member than the one who made the original decision

During the appeal period, your points balance is preserved.

Effect of Termination

  • You forfeit all points and unredeemed rewards
  • Your panel membership is cancelled
  • Your access to the Service ceases immediately

9. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law:

  • The Service is provided "AS IS" without warranties
  • We do not guarantee any minimum number of surveys
  • We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages
  • Our maximum liability is limited to incentives owed for completed surveys
Important Exceptions

This limitation of liability does not apply to:

  • Claims arising from our breach of data protection obligations
  • Liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law
  • Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation

10. User Content & Survey Responses

When you participate in surveys, you provide responses and content ("User Content"). You retain ownership of your personal data as described in our Privacy Policy.

License for Anonymised Data

You grant us a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use your survey responses in anonymised, aggregated form for research purposes. This license:

  • Applies only after your responses have been fully anonymised (no personal identifiers)
  • Survives account deletion only to the extent that responses have been anonymised
  • Does not affect your data protection rights under GDPR or other applicable laws

You may exercise your right to erasure under the Privacy Policy. We will delete your identifiable data; anonymised data that can no longer be linked to you may be retained for research.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time.

Material Changes

For material changes to these Terms (including changes to points expiry, incentive rules, or your rights), we will:

  • Notify you at least 30 days in advance via email or in-app notification
  • Clearly explain what is changing
  • Require your affirmative acceptance before the changes take effect

If you do not accept material changes, you may close your account and redeem any accumulated points before the changes take effect.

Non-Material Changes

For minor or clarifying changes that do not materially affect your rights, continued use of the Service after the update constitutes acceptance.

12. Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Singapore.

Consumer Protection

If you are a consumer in the European Union, United Kingdom, or another jurisdiction with mandatory consumer protection laws, nothing in these Terms deprives you of the protection of the mandatory provisions of your country of residence.

Dispute Resolution

We encourage you to contact us first at support@tgmpanel.com to resolve any dispute informally. If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, it shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Singapore, except where mandatory consumer protection laws provide otherwise.
